Bishop George J. Lucas has appointed Father David Zimmerman dean of the Decatur Deanery, for a period of five years, effective Aug. 12.
Father Zimmerman was ordained on May 24, 1997, and served as parochial vicar of Christ the King in Springfield from 1997-2000. He was pastor of St. Mary in Farmersville and St. Patrick in Girard from 2000-2004. Since 2004, he has served as pastor of St. Mary Parish in Paris and St. Aloysius Parish in North Arm.
