Knights of Columbus Springfield Council 364 has awarded $1,000 scholarships to two recent eighth-grade graduates: Leo Johnston from St. Agnes Parish and Jennifer Fliege from St. Aloysius Parish. Both will continue their Catholic education this fall at Sacred Heart-Griffin High School in Springfield.

This is the 27th consecutive year that Council 364 has awarded scholarships to students who demonstrate excellence in the areas of academics, community and parish service, leadership, and who show financial need. The scholarships are good for all four years that Leo and Jennifer attend SHG. 

The Council 364 scholarship program is made possible from proceeds raised at an annual Mother's Day Breakfast in May, and from a raffle called the 5200 Club which buyers of a $10 raffle ticket are given 52 weekly chances to win $100.
