QUINCY — Quincy University has been recognized as a “College of Distinction” for the 2017-18 school year for its “engaged students, great teaching, vibrant community and successful outcomes.”
The announcement, by the organization bearing the same name, designated the four-year liberal arts university in both the Catholic and National categories.
“These awards prove to prospective and current students, as well as alumni, just how prestigious our school's curriculum truly is,” said Brittany Ellerman, director of admissions. “QU produces top-notch students due to our engaged faculty, hands-on learning experiences and service-oriented community.”
The publication examines colleges which emphasize core competencies such as critical thinking, writing, oral communication, research and global perspectives. Out-of-classroom learning and intensive study abroad programs are also requirements for being considered for recognition.
