DECATUR — Julie Moore Wolfe has recently assumed the executive directorship of philanthropy, advocacy and community relations at HSHS St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Her main responsibility is leading fundraising efforts through the foundation. Additionally, she joins the HSHS Central Illinois Division’s advocacy team, working with other local elected officials on various efforts pertaining to the Catholic health system. Moore Wolfe also assists with community and media relations.
Moore Wolfe is the mayor of Decatur, and she continues to serve in that capacity as she has since 2015. She came to St. Mary’s from Decatur Memorial Hospital, where she served as the director of community and government relations. She has been a resident of Decatur for more than 30 years and is known throughout central Illinois. Moore Wolfe replaced Debbie Seitz as the leader of the HSHS St. Mary’s Foundation; Seitz retired on July 31.
Moore Wolfe moved to Decatur in 1986 when she started working at WAND-TV/17 as the main news anchor and worked there for more than a decade. She’s also served as the president of the Decatur Chamber of Commerce for seven years.
