CAMPBELLSPORT, Wis. — School Sister of St. Francis Kathleen Masur, age 102, died Feb. 8 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport.
The daughter of Frank and Rose Masur, she was born April 11, 1908 in Geddes, S.D. She was received into the School Sisters of St. Francis June 12, 1928 and made first profession of vows Aug. 19, 1930 and final (perpetual) vows Aug. 19, 1936.
Sister Kathleen is survived by a brother, Eugene Masur; a sister, Wilma Smith; and the School Sisters of St. Francis.
Sister Kathleen lived her religious ministry in Illinois and Wisconsin. In the Diocese of Springfield, Sister Kathleen served as homemaker and sacristan at St. James Convent in Decatur (1971-1984).
A wake and funeral Mass took place Feb. 11 at St. Joseph Convent in Campbellsport. Burial followed at Sisters’ Cemetery there.
